When I was just fourteen years old, I began my first summer job working for my father’s tree removal company, Above Average. My father had spent many years working in the forestry department of the MTO, gaining valuable experience and knowledge about how to properly trim, care for, and maintain trees & hedges. Growing up as the son of an arborist I have been lucky he helped pass on all that he had learned over the years to me.
For about a decade, I continued to hone my skills working under the tutelage of my dad, learning not only about proper hedge pruning techniques but also about entrepreneurship and what it takes to run a successful business. As a result of this environment, I have developed a true love for both trimming hedges and running a successful company.
While The Hedge Pro is a relatively new hedge trimming company the man behind the brand is known throughout Orleans & Ottawa. For over 20 years Jason Behm has trimmed hedges in the area for friends, family and customers. Once the work is complete you can pay with cash, cheque, e-Transfer or Bitcoin.
How do I schedule a free estimate?
The best way to schedule a free estimate is to email us using the contact form. This ensures we aren’t up a ladder when you call and we get all your details like name, address, postal code, etc. You can also schedule an estimate by calling or leaving a detailed voicemail!
How much does hedge trimming cost?
Hedge trimming is priced based on 3 criteria, the amount of hedge that needs to be removed, accessibility, and finally the length and height of the hedge.
Do you cut my neighbours hedge?
Yes! When we provide the quote for your service we can let you know the price for both sides or just one side of the hedge. Many customers work collaboratively when sharing hedges and we can split the invoice between homeowners.
What are your hours of operation?
The Hedge Pro is open M-F from 9-5. Due to the seasonality of our business (April – November) we often work later than regular business hours, on weekends and appointments.
What is your schedule like?
We can usually complete most hedge trimming jobs within 2 weeks. Hedge trimming is seasonal, and very dependent on the weather so our availability can change quickly, but when we drop off the estimate we can let you know a more specific time frame.
